Insurrection, a violent uprising against authority or government.
Sorta like when an outgoing president calls for his followers to assassinate the Vice President to stop the vote, then those followers break in to the Capitol building, beat down barriers, and attack the police?
So if you want to call Jan 6 an insurrection, what was Portland, Minneapolis, New York...
Riots. They didn't try to break in to the Capitol to overthrow the government.
... or when they attempted to storm the White House where the church was set on fire and over 500 officers were injured.
You're talking about this...
Photos and videos...
The federal investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing. Protesters were literally just standing around when the USPP began gassing them, pepper spraying them, and shooting them with rubber bullets.
Several protesters were injured.
After the police began the violent attacks, it's true that some of the protesters defended themselves. 49 cops received minor injuries (not 500), and 11 protesters were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The protesters didn't make any attempt to assassinate anyone, infiltrate a government building, or stop an election, so it would be a huge stretch to call this an insurrection. It was a peaceful protest that the police escalated into violence.
I am glad that you don't believe in,basic rights like bail, right to an attorney, food, medical care or even tell you what you are charged.
Source?
Ironic that you're declaring these things as basic rights, while at the same time supporting a President that's doing these exact violations...
What about selective enforcement like only conservative reporters were charged when liberal reporters walked free?
Source?
I know that one MAGA writer (not conservative, huge difference) pleaded guilty to insurrection, that's all I can find...
But I also found where three Democrat journalists were arrested at the RNC, and the same journalist was arrested while covering a Native American protest...

Both of those arrests happened when Democrats were in charge, by the way.
