It's surreal to see the images coming from the streets of Los Angeles, and it makes me angry. Police officers getting hit with rocks. Cars torched in flames. Vandals waving Mexican flags while screaming for ICE to be abolished. This is not what America stands for.
ICE has every right to enforce immigration laws and detain illegals.
Absolutely false. The 10th Amendment of the Constitution grants cities the right to adopt policies that limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities. And this right has been upheld in courts numerous times.
It's seriously crazy to see Democrats making excuses for the violence and blaming Trump and ICE officers.
Funny, I think it's crazy for a Senator to argue that Trump has the legal authority to bypass the US Constitution and violate the rights of the states.
You aren't Republican, and you certainly aren't Conservative... you are promoting Fascism.
Let's put the shoe on the other foot. If a Democrat were President and signed an Executive Order to demand all guns be destroyed, and then ordered the military to go to homes and physically take all guns and ammo... would you be saying "gee golly, the President has that right so you all need to do as he says. Ahyuck!"
It's a **** shame that our own Senator either has so little knowledge of the law... or just doesn't care about it. MAGA is still leading an insurrection, make no mistake... it's just not quite as violent as the first one.

It's surreal to see the images coming from the streets of Los Angeles, and it makes me angry. Police officers getting hit with rocks. Cars torched in flames. Vandals waving Mexican flags while screaming for ICE to be abolished. This is not what America stands for.
I want to make a few things crystal clear.
* ICE has every right to enforce immigration laws and detain illegals. The raids in Los Angeles apprehended illegals who committed serious crimes including: second-degree murder, robbery, cruelty to a child, attempt to commit rape, sexual battery, grand theft larceny, distribution of heroin, assault with a deadly weapon. These ICE agents should never be subject to harassment or violence for doing their jobs, and neither should local law enforcement.
* President Trump has the authority to call on the National Guard to defend the life, liberty, and property of Americans under siege by endless waves of violent rioters.
* Liberal politicians in California like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass have failed to lead, and it's despicable that they're now blaming Trump and ICE for the violence they refused to put an end to. It's ridiculous Newsom now plans to sue President Trump.
I have two bills that I previously introduced that would fully hold these rioters accountable under the law.
The Safe and Open Streets Act would make it a federal crime to purposely obstruct, delay, or affect commerce by blocking a public road or highway. These rioters would be subject to serious fines or up to 5 years in prison.
The riots in Los Angeles also underscore how important it is for Congress to pass President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill, which provides historic funding to secure the border and enforce our immigration laws. It provides the funding needed to build a border wall, and funding to hire 10,000 new ICE employees, 5,000 new customs officers, 3,000 new Border Patrol agents, and also gives much-deserved raises to ICE and Border Patrol.
It's seriously crazy to see Democrats making excuses for the violence and blaming Trump and ICE officers. It's clear who is on the side of law and order and who is on the side of lawlessness and illegal immigrants.
