The EU has said it offered the US a "zero-for-zero" tariff deal on cars and industrial goods weeks before Donald Trump launched his trade war, but that it would "not wait endlessly" to defend itself. Maros Šefčovič, the EU commissioner for trade, said he had proposed zero tariffs on cars and a range of industrial goods, such as pharmaceutical products, rubber and machinery, during his first meeting with the US commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick, on 19 February. https://www.theguardian.com...nouncementSo this isn't some sort of win, they just offered the same thing they offered 2 months ago.
The EU commissioner also said that they had spent "some time and energy" explaining basic economy and sales tax to Trump, but he's too stupid to understand it... that's paraphrased, of course, but it's what they meant.

@anti. What if you own a company and pay your employees really well. But your books reveal that your employees are not only taking their paycheck but they are also taking a little extra here and there from the supply closet. You give them some choices. Pay it back, take a pay cut to repay it or get fired? What are they going to do?

Wow! Now we can all relax, have a party and go out and shop 'til we drop. Our great orange savior has saved the day. The war in Ukraine isn't over but don't hold him to exactly 24 hours give him a little leeway, say a couple of thousand give or take. And 15 days to get prices down well by the same token lets say 3 years or so. 24/15 my fine white arse and you MAGATS still believe every lie and promise that comes out of his mouth. Baa! Baa! Baa!

Let me ask you a question, Jamie.
Let's say that your income relied on a single company, and one day that company came to you and said, "we think that we're overpaying you, so we need for you to take a 25% pay cut today." What would you do?
I suspect that most people would take it on the chin... but immediately start looking for another job.
MAGA is obviously a very short sighted group, they've proven this time and time again. But you can be sure, even if they do start to negotiate then they're going to start looking for ways to protect themselves. They would be foolish not to!
Which means they'll be turning more and more towards BRICS.
You can be sure, this is all a move to help Russia and BRICS... at our expense.
