Rereading an older series "Earth's Children". The first book is Clan of the Cave Bear. It's really interesting based upon early man. If you get a chance, it's a really good read especially if you're tired of the same old, same old.

I am reading "A Pagan's Nightmare" by Ray Blackston. It is a Story within a story. A writer has written a novel about a world where everyone is a Christian.... except for Lanny and Ned! They find themselves fugitives, and Marvin the Apostle has a price on their head! Not to kill them, but to convert them! EVERYTHING in the country has been reworded to conform to a zealot's worldview, andLanny and Ned are fleeing for their lives!! It is hilarious!

meanwhile, the literary agent is wanting to publish this book, sees it as a winner, but his wife, a devout Baptist, is vehemently against it, and so it goes.

This is or course a tongue in cheek view of the sacred cows, and the writer isn't afraid to tip them over! He is using this madcap story to point out what is really important, not the trappings we have created for ourselves, but our relationship with a living, powerful God.

And yeah, I took some of the above from the synopsis on the jacket flaps! They explain it so much better!
