I finished the Robert B. Parker book "Split Image", and my wife is now reading it. I picked up a paperback by an author I've never heard of before at the little store by the Church of the Frescoes in Glendale Springs last week. The name escapes me, but I'll write more about it later.

James Clavell's Shogun. Been a while since I first read this one. Great book but even longer than I remembered (1100-1200 pages).

"Kisser" was great. I'm now on to "Split Image" from Robert B. Parker...a Jesse Stone novel. I've read all the others, and am thoroughly enjoying this one. Who wouldn't with such crackling dialog as...

"Done it yet"? Molly said.

"Yep" Jesse said.

"Like it?" Molly said.

"Always do", Jesse said.

Forbes magazine says Parker's dialog "makes Hemingway seem like a windbag".

"Yep" Radiogiant said.

I'm reading "KIsser" by Stuart Woods...another in the long line of Stone Barrington novels. I'm on page 70, and it seems like I've read five. Talk about page-turners! A real "he-man" guilty pleasure!
