It�s time to turn the thrill of the ride into the thrill of the run. Carowinds is excited to present year two of the Run and Ride series, which will have your thighs and lungs screaming during one of the three running events through the park and then your mouth screaming as you take to some of the best coasters in the country. With a half-marathon, 10k, 5k, and 1-mile fun run to choose from, there is something for everyone to try.

With the new Fury 325 to ride, your weekend will certainly be thrill packed. The Fury 325 fully embodies this same aggressive power that, like a furious hornet, just won�t let up. With heights reaching 325 feet, a staggering length of 6,602 feet and breathtaking speeds of 95 miles per hour, this 2,700-ton �hornet�s nest of rebellion� carries the same agility, bravery and passionate spirit of its hometown.

The half-marathon includes free park entry for the runner Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday for the event weekend. The 10K includes a one day pass for the event weekend. Discounted park entry is included with all other distances. Don�t want to leave the spouse and kids at home? Bring them along! They also can enjoy an amazing discounted rate for the entire weekend, and while you soak in that ice bath, they can take to the rides and have their own kinda fun.
