Citronella

I have a large "mosquito plant" from Lowes. It is a type of Geranium and does well in full sun. Water it everyday. Midtown Garden Market also sells them in different sizes. I have also heard that if you plant herbs that give off a strong smell like the Mosquito plant does they will also help keep them away. So far my one plant works great on my patio/carport area.

They sell it for $5 or $6 a pot at Lowes. It's the plant that citronella candles are made from. I put 4 of them in pots surrounding my house, and no mosquitoes

I have never heard of the plant. What is that Mosquito bush?

The plants work just fine, and they're only $5 for the whole year I just need to figure out what to plant in the pot with them to make them pretty.

I'm planting some citronella herbs in pots on my back deck, to help repel mosquitoes. Can you guys recommend any other flowers or plants to go in the same pot that will look good, but not counter the citronella smell?
