Pecan trees don't normally grow well in western NC. Mostly found in eastern NC

Put potting soil in hole in large hole. No fertilizer unless instructions say to use. They grow well here. Try internet garden companies and order some. They are large so give them room to grow. and sunlight. Water for a few weeks often. Plant in next few weeks when cooler and let them grow.

There is a hardy variety that some claim will do well here. We are a bit too cold for some varieties to produce from what I have read about them. I'm looking for some of the hardy ones to plant this fall. If anyone knows where I can get some locally please let me know.
